Applications are invited for the post of Junior Research Fellows (JRF) to work in a SERB-DST sponsored research project titled "High order entropy stable schemes and automatic mesh adaptation techniques: their design, analysis and applications" under the supervision of Dr. Ritesh Kumar Dubey, Research Institute & Department of Mathematics, SRM Institute of Science and Technology (formerly known as SRM University), India.
Objectives of the project: To develop very high order entropy stable schemes for systems of hyperbolic conservation laws and design automatic mesh adaptation algorithms for singularly perturbed problems. It is also aimed to model and simulate human blood circulatory systems or transport of river water contamination.
Positions: Junior Research Fellows
Emoluments: Rs. 25,000/- per month (first two years); Rs. 28,000/- per month (third year) and HRA as per norms.
Duration: 3 years (2016-19)
Eligibility Criteria: M.Sc. in Mathematics/M. Tech in Scientific computing with 60% marks or equivalent CGPA from UGC recognized University/Institute and JRF-NET/GATE or equivalent national level exam qualified.
Other Requirements: Candidates with strong interest in numerical analysis, applied functional analysis, partial differential equations and scientific programming would be preferred.
Remark: The selected candidate can/should also register for regular PhD program in Department of Mathematics, SRM Institute of Science and Technology (formerly known as SRM University).
