Web pages:

Abstract: Nanotechnology - the way we understand it, has grown in the last three decades connecting almost all branches of atomistic Sciences and has indeed emerged, whether one likes or not, as a converged concoction of all of it. Having crawled through the stages hurdled by myths and misnomers, it is now firmly percolating into conventional technologies to pave the way forward to futuristic applications in all important sectors- energy, water, health, agriculture, and environment. If this is the scenario, why not much of it is visible to us, in India? Where are those practicing experts, where are the projects, jobs, and opportunities? The presentation will cover the above thought-provoking aspects while citing practicing examples from the Presenter's laboratory.
