About SRM

       Sri Ramasamy Memorial Engineering College (SRMEC) was started in the academic year 1985-1986, at Kattankulathur, Kancheepuram District, Tamil Nadu, India. After the birth of SRM University in 2003, the Faculty of Engineering and Technology was carved out which now contains various schools and Departments related to Engineering and Technology, Management and Architecture and functions in four campuses namely, Kattankulathur, Ramapuram, Vadapalani and ModiNagar (Uttar Pradesh). Kattankulathur campus is located in a sylvan lush green environment skirting the National Highway (NH45) about 15 kms from  Tambaram, and about 20 kms from  Anna International Airport, Chennai.

The campuses consist of buildings with a built up area of about 1,70,000 sq.m for laboratories, workshops, library, classrooms, staff quarters, guest house, administration, IT park, post office, bank, gymnasium, indoor games, hostel for boys and girls and other facilities.

Further the university has multipurpose  Auditorium having seating capacity of approximately 3000 persons. 

About School of Computer Science and Engineering

       The School of Computer Science and Engineering includes the two departments of Computer Science & Engineering and Information Technology. The school offers B.Tech program in three disciplines to about 1700 students, M.Tech program in seven streams to about 300 students, Ph.D program to about 50 research scholars. The lectures are supplemented by well equipped computing facilities including Microsoft, Apple, and Linux Technologies. 

Research in the School focuses on creating and evaluating, innovative learning experiences, inspired by educational principles and technical progress. The approach is to use technology to help mediate a constructive dialogue between the learner, instructor and subject matter. 

The school has well-qualified and experienced faculty whose areas of expertise and research include Network Security, Mobile Communication and Networks, Computer Forensics, Embedded Systems,.NET technologies, Databases, Artificial Intelligence, Operating Systems and Programming Languages etc.
       The conference proceedings will be published with an ISBN number.
