The Government of Tamil Nadu has announced with profound regret, the death of Thiru
A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, Former President of India on 27.07.2015 at Shillong and declared a Public Holiday on the day of funeral i.e. 30.07.2015 for all educational institutions and for all Government/Private Establishments under the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881 as mark of respect to the former President.
Consequent to declaration of Public Holiday on 30.07.2015, SRM university will remain closed as a mark of respect to our Former President of India, Dr.A.P.J Abdul Kalam.

Open Elective Poll for the Present IVth Semester B.Tech Students (Kattankulathur Campus)
The Open Elective Poll will help understand each student's choice of open elective course for the upcoming Fifth semester.
The student can choose ONE Open Elective course from another department for the Fifth semester. If the student finds any of his/her core or elective course of his/her home department being offered as Open Elective by an other department, the student should make sure that he/she is NOT choosing that course.
If the student selects such course, his/her choice will go void during scrutiny. The student may also approach the faculty members in case of any doubts.

Online Registration for Foreign Language Courses for the Present IInd Semester B.Tech Students (except B.Arch and B. Des), Kattankulathur Campus
As part of the curriculum, B.tech. students (except B.Arch and B. Des) can select ONE Foreign Language course for the upcoming IIIrd semester in 2015-16.
The Languages offered are,
There is seat limit for each language based on the department. The registration will be done only on first come first serve basis. Only those languages which have availability of seats will be shown on the list.
Once registered, no change will be entertained.
If online registration is not completed, the assignment of subjects will be done by the department.
