Seminar On 'Advancements in Mobility of Automobiles'

The Department of Mechanical Engineering under the aegis of SAE(Society of India Automotive Engineers)India collegiate club, arranged a seminar on “Advancements in Mobility of Automobiles” on 3rd February 2017.All the SAE student and the faculty  members attended the seminar. The resource person for the seminar was, Mr.K.N.Balaji, Senior Automotive advisor, Renault Nissan Technology Business centre India,Chennai.He  briefed about the various markets for cars, trucks and leading automotive manufactures, and also added few points on the future of automobile industries.
He talked about the current innovations in these industries and the overview of global market. The differences in the global market and the Indian market were clearly explained by him. The manufacturing processes strategies of Companies like TOYOTA, GENERAL MOTORS, FORD, VW were discussed.
He gave wide information on hybrid cars and about the fuel scarcity, which would happen after few decades. Then he gave an idea of producing Renewable energy and alternative energy sources, which would replace fossil fuels. At the end of the seminar the students had an interaction session with the resource person. Thus the Students gained immense knowledge from him within a short period of time.
