Dr. Maneesh Chandran

Ph.D

Research Assistant Professor

Dr. Maneesh Chandran joined at SRM Research Institute and Department of Physics and Nanotechnology as an Assistant Professor (Research) in July 2017.  He has completed his Ph.D. in Physics from Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IITM), Chennai. He has been a recipient of the prestigious Schulich Postdoctoral Fellowship from Technion- Israel Institute of Technology, Israel. He has 4 years of postdoctoral research experience in UHV surface and Interface science. His research has been focused on the physical/chemical properties of diamond and related materials. Termination of diamond surface with different functional groups is very significant as it modifies the surface electronic properties. The long-term objective of this research is to realize stable, shallow NV¯ centers in diamond by proper surface termination for nanoscale magnetic sensing applications.
