I joined Department of Genetic Engineering, School of Bioengineering, SRM University in 2016 as Research Assistant Professor.

My doctoral research focused on Immobilization of β-galactosidase from Lactobacillus plantarum VITES07 on ZnO nanoparticles: Charaterization and lactose hydrolysis in treating lactose intolerance across the globe.

Nevertheless, I also worked on multiple projects which include enhanced production of α-amylase, staphylokinase, streptokinase and nattokinase, Bioremediation of endosulfan contaminated soil, Fermentative production of extracellular pigment from Streptomyces coelicolor. Currently I am working on “Cloning and Expression of Fibrinolytic Enzyme”. Additionally, I am working as a reviewer for Brazilian Archives of Biology and Technology. I was also awarded a Senior Research fellowship from the Indian Council of Medical   Research (ICMR).
